Hi, you can hear 'The Beat Stuff' here: http://radio3.cbc.ca/#/bands/Hannah-Georgas or download the album here: http://www.hiddenpony.ca/en/cart.php or the song on iTunes.

I've read that Catlow has a new album coming out this summer, so perhaps that's where 'Shinsy' is from.

"City" by Sunfields *is* available through amazon.

Out of curiosity, where did you get the Catlow & The Plains song IDs (certainly not from Syfy)? From Shazaam? Or did you contact Alicen? Elsewhere?

Hi, Jo! Definitely thank you for the info. Shazaam has been very good at providing a comprehensive playlist each week. I don't know why this isn't reflected on SyFy other than they are just posting what is available through iTunes.

I haven't contacted Alicen Schneider, yet. I was hoping for an interview to pop up with her about the Being Human music but it looks like the mainstream media may not be interested so that may soon be my request. I also have a couple of suggested musicians, too.

Jo

Interesting about Shazam... kind of makes me wish I had a smart phone. Thanks for the info.

I thought the Syfy omissions were due to lack of iTunes links, too, but after checking I discovered that at least half the songs they didn't post *are* available at iTunes. I really have no idea what they are thinking when they put up the playlist.

And I still haven't figured out where the Dark Captain Light Captain & Great Lake Swimmers songs played in 103 (do you know?). They were either very subtle or didn't play at all.

Where can I even find The Plains song "Mind and Body"? It doesn't seem to be anywhere

HI!YOUR WRITE-UP IS VERY INSTRUCTIVE AND I ACTUALLY LIKE THE CONTENT EXACTLY WHERE IN EACH DETAIL IS VERY USEFUL!!!

Christen

Episode 3: "Mind and Soul" is by Miami-based 'Plains' (aka Michael McGinnis) who is still making music. 'The Plains' was a band from Seattle that has broken up.

I haven't been successful in tracking down "Mind and Soul", but Plains does have a new self-titled album on itunes that was released this month. The track "Good Son" has a similar vibe to "Mind and Soul", so fans of the song may like that one.
